As you are aware, on September 27, 2005 the McHenry District 15 Board of Education approved a motion to place a referendum on the March 21, 2006 ballot.
The chart below describes the estimated cost of the referendum to the taxpayer of a $200,000 home.

Below is a draft of the 2006-2007 daily school schedule in the event the March 2006 referendum is not successful. This schedule reflects a 1 hour reduction in the school day. In addition, the Board of Education voted at the October 25, 2005 board meeting to approve a $2.1 million budget reduction list in the event the March 2006 referendum is not successful. This list is available on the district website at www.d15.org or by contacting the Central Office at 815-385-7210. Above is next year's DRAFT SCHEDULE in the event that the March 2006 referendum is not successful. This schedule is cost neutral while accommodating busing to the high school district, morning/afternoon kindergarten students, early childhood education (ECE) students, and parochial schools. Sessions for morning and afternoon kindergarten would be determined by geographic region, rather than by parental choice.
