The Foundation has been in existence since 1992. Our mission is to promote the value of education. The Foundation shall acquire and distribute resources to enhance McHenry School District 15 education programs and projects by providing enriched educational opportunities for learners. The Foundation will achieve its mission by directing support toward the following goals:
• Promote the development of students
• Encourage employee innovation
• Encourage school and community partnerships
The Foundation supports mini-grants for teachers, we host the Celebration of the Art Night with the Chamber of Commerce, we hold a walk a thon for students in the fall, and many other causes.
Contributions to the McHenry Elementary Education Foundation are gladly accepted.
The McHenry Elementary District 15 Education Foundation is proud to award one graduating senior from East and West campuses a $500.00 scholarship to be used to defer the cost of higher education. Founded in 1992, the Education Foundation’s goal is to promote the value of education and enrich the educational opportunities for all learners. The Foundation is looking for applicants who possess the following:
• 2.5 or higher grade point average
• Upper half of the graduating class
• 20 or higher ACT score
• Involved in extra curricular activities
• Volunteer activities
• Graduate of McHenry Middle School or Parkland Middle School
• Plan to attend one of the following:
o Vocational School
o Community College
o Four Year College or University
Applicants who meet the above criteria should complete the attached application and return it to the McHenry Elementary District 15 Office located at 1011 North Green Street by April 1, 2008. In addition to the application all candidates are required to submit the following documents:
• Completed Application
• High School Transcripts
• ACT Score
• Class Rank Information
• Three Letters of Recommendation
