Employment Process
- Human Resources screens applicants for minimal qualifications. In collaboration with HR, the hiring administrator or supervisor make the final recommendation to the superintendent for presentation to the Board of Education (BOE).
- The BOE have the authority and duty to employ and dismiss personnel, in addition to establishing compensation and evaluating the overall education program.
- Most vacancies are posted internally and externally for a period of 5 days on our website: www.d15.org/jobs.
- All employees are required to present physician documentation verifying freedom of communicable disease, including Tuberculosis skin testing, and the ability to perform the essential functions of the job (at the employee’s cost). All employees must authorize a Criminal Background Check (at the district’s cost).
- Applications are maintained in an active file for a period of 6 months.
- Application and related materials should be submitted to HR.
