The longstanding qualification for assignment as a paraprofessional (teacher assistant/aide) was to have submitted evidence of completion of at least 30 semester hours of college coursework. This qualification remains, however the possibilities for achieving this qualification has expanded through the Work Keys test or ParaPro test. These tests are in lieu of college coursework, not in addition to the 30 hours noted above. Depending on the position, District 15 may require a minimum of 60 semester hours or Work Keys/ParaPro Test.
