I am Mrs. Margaret Carey, the principal here at Landmark School. I live in McHenry with my husband and my cat, Chester Cheetah. My husband and I have two grown boys who also live in Illinois. I grew up in northeast Ohio in a small town on Lake Erie, but over the past thirty years, I have also lived in Maine, New York, Mississippi and Wisconsin! I am so happy to be here in McHenry! In my free time, I enjoy reading, bicycling, running and traveling.

Over the past twenty years, I am lucky to have taught in a variety of grades, including kindergarten, first, fourth and eighth grades. I also used to coach varsity softball. This is my eleventh year as an elementary principal and my second year here at Landmark. I thoroughly enjoy working with our students, parents, and teachers as we all work to be the best we can be!
