Continue reading below.

Choosing a place to live can be difficult, especially if you can't go there and visit the area first. Think about the living conditions you would consider important if you were to move there. Here are some to think about.

* Climate: Hot/Cold? Dry/Wet?
* Shelter: Can we find things to build a house?
* Availability of food: What kind of food is there?
* Transportation: How will we travel?

As a class, you will brainstorm other living conditions to think about. Than, you and your partner will choose the 3 most important conditions for the two of you.

You will get a Planning sheet from your teacher where you will right down the living conditions you have chosen to research. After you have completed the Plan Sheet, talk about what you wrote down with your teacher.
