  • What is the Structured Education Setting (SES)?

SES is designed to support students that demonstrate significant ongoing emotional and/or behavioral needs.  Disability categories are likely to include Emotional Disability (ED), Other Health Impaired (OHI), or Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

Students in the program require intensive behavioral supports, including, but not limited to a Behavior Intervention Plan (BIP), structured and direct instruction for social/emotional coping skills, and support staff trained to utilize BIPs and de-escalation techniques.  Related services are provided in the classroom setting however this is based on individual needs. This includes individual and group lessons.
