District 15’s Parkland School & McHenry Middle School are honored to win the inaugural Thrive Award sponsored by GreatSchools.org! The Thrive Award celebrates public schools that provide supportive learning environments based on trust, commitment, and safety. 

Additionally, the Thrive Award enables parents and education leaders to see how schools go beyond traditional measures of achievement to cultivate a positive learning environment for students, staff, and families.

Award-winners were selected based on student and teacher responses to a state-wide survey that assesses a school’s leadership, teaching culture, academics, family engagement, and learning environment, factors that all contribute to student success.
