McHenry School District 15 is featured on the cover of the September/October release of The Illinois Association of School Boards (IASB) educational journal and is recognized as a model school district for schools across the state of Illinois looking to capture best 21st Century learning practices. The goal of IASB is for school districts to work in partnership with their school boards to build successful systems of learning where students can flourish academically.
To sum this publication up, when you open the cover of this journal you will find a message from executive director, Roger Eddy, who is just retiring and delivers his closing remarks. He states, advocating and sharing the stories of local public educations is paramount. Within communities, among districts, and nationally, telling the ‘great things’ we are doing for our kids is critical to the continued success of our public schools.
