    Happy September!

Landmark is finishing up our 7th week of the school year and the students are beginning to count down to our Fall Intersession, which runs from September 17-October 10. We have so much more learning fun happening in the next few weeks though!

On Thursday, September 8th, we'll have our first Celebration of Learning from 6:00 - 7:30pm. All parents, students and sibling are invited to visit their child(ren)'s classroom where their child will become the teacher! Your child will teach parents/guardians just a few of the many skills they have learned so far this school year. Attendees are also invited to visit the Scholastic Book Fair from 6:00 - 7:00pm that evening. The Book Fair will be open during the school day to our students.

Our Landmark Community Organization (LCO) is off to a strong start as well. This active parent/teacher group plans fun family activities as well as fund-raisers and adult-only evenings. Our next meeting will be held on September 12  at 6:30pm in the school gym; all are encouraged to attend! Our first big family event is our Harvest Fest at Richardson Farms on Friday, October 14th.

If you are new to the community and/or Landmark, one of the first differences you'll note is that  we have a continuous year calendar, which begins in July and includes frequent 2-3 week breaks, the first of which is our Fall Intersession. All of our classes are either looping or multigrade classrooms for the 2022/23 school year. We deeply value the connections and positive relationships that our teachers form with our students and their parents. Our continuous learning calendar can be found on our website.

No matter the grade level, our teachers promote hands-on and group learning opportunities to bring learning alive for our students. Our teachers are experts at using interactive technology that enhances the lessons taught. Students enjoy the STEM curriculum and materials that provide numerous opportunities for students to explore and problem-solve in the areas of science, technology, engineering and math while also enhancing literacy skills.

Please follow our school's Facebook page, LMDolphins, and check the website regularly so that you can join us for the many activities and events here at Landmark!

We currently have two openings each in second and fifth grades. Please call the school office (779) 244-1800 for more information!
