    Happy Summer!

We are looking forward to the 2023/24 school year and another exciting year of learning with our students!

Our first official event of the year is our New Student Night! This annual night invites every new student, their siblings and parents to come to the Landmark playground to play and meet other students, families and staff members. Plan to join us on Thursday, July 13th from 6:00 - 7:00 pm on the playground, weather-permitting!

Supply Drop-off is set for Tuesday, July 18th from 3:00 - 5:00 pm. Students and their parents/guardians are invited to visit their classrooms to meet their teacher and drop off their school supplies. We also hope you'll stop by the gym to meet our Landmark Community Organization (LCO) officers and find out how you can become involved in our parent-teacher group. If you are looking for your grade level's supply lists, they can be found here.

Our amazing LCO has planned many family events and activities for the year. Their activities begin with the annual Boohoo/Yahoo Breakfast held at BuddyZ on Green Street after student drop-off on the first day of school, Wednesday, July 19th. This is a great time to meet other parents! Our annual Pool Party will be held on Saturday, August 5th from 7:30 - 9:00pm at Woodstock Water Works.  The first LCO meeting will be held on Monday, August 14 at 6:30pm in the school gym. We hope you'll become an active member of this group!

If you are new to the community and/or Landmark, one of the first differences you'll note is that  we have a continuous year calendar, which begins in July and includes frequent 2-3 week breaks, the first of which is our Fall Intersession. All of our classes are either looping or multigrade classrooms. We deeply value the connections and positive relationships that our teachers form with our students and their parents. Our continuous learning calendar can be found on our website. Our calendar also includes various school and LCO activities and events as well as our Spirit Days.

No matter the grade level, our teachers promote hands-on and group learning opportunities to bring learning alive for our students. Our teachers are experts at using interactive technology that enhances the lessons taught. Students enjoy the STEM curriculum and materials that provide numerous opportunities for students to explore and problem-solve in the areas of science, technology, engineering and math while also enhancing literacy skills.

Please follow our school's Facebook page, LMDolphins, and check the website regularly so that you can join us for the many activities and events here at Landmark! We currently have openings in fifth grade for the 23/24 school year. Please call the school office (779) 244-1800 for more information!
