McHenry Middle School

Welcome to the 2017-2018 school year! We are the sixth grade special education teachers at McHenry Middle School.  

Our job is to assist special education students who receive support in either the general education classrooms or in the instructional LD classrooms. We do this both directly and indirectly throughout the student's school day.  Directly, we provide assistance and instruction to the students in the classroom, support students organizationally, and help them with homework during study hall and 10^th Hour.  Indirectly, we work with the regular education teachers to adapt and modify curriculum and serve as an advocate for the students within the school.

It is important that we work together!  You know your child the best and their success depends on a united front.  We encourage you to contact us with any questions and/or concerns that you may have.  Your child’s grades can be monitored from home by accessing Skyward, which is available on the district 15 homepage, www.d15.org.  If you would like to sign-up for this program, contact the school office.
