MMS Golf

  • Welcome to MMS Golf, girls and boys. Come have fun, learn about the game, practice to improve, go on a golf outing, socialize, be active and have some fun!

Being involved in this club means you are expected to be at the scheduled dates.  If you are not able to attend, you need to contact Dr. Parzygnat or Ms. LoMonaco

We will be working on the basics of golf. Practicing to improve on those basics.  Working on learning all aspects of the game so that a member feels comfortable for our final outing.

Our final outing will be a 9 hole golf outing at a local golf course. Refer to the schedule with date and time information. We will golf using appropriate rules, etiquette and proper dress (polo shirt).

Equipment has been acquired for the kids to use.  The Kids Golf Foundation will be allowing us to use equipment, so proper care will be expected.

If you want to drop equipment off for your child after school on days when we have practice, you are more than welcome.  Please make arrangements to use the West side door and meet students.  We are not responsible for equipment.

The plan is to take a couple trips (see schedule) over to local golf club.  We will then be able to use golf course facilities and swing more with real golf balls. There may be a cost to take the field trip, for the use of the facilities with real golf balls. More details to come……

If you choose, we will have try-outs to compete in the IESA Sectional/State competition portion of the club.  In order to compete at sectionals, you will have to participate in a try-out in August at Boone Creek (see attached scheudle for more information).  During the summer, you will need to golf 18 holes, using a pull cart, four(4) times and keep score (no mulligans or extra shots can be included in score). Your scores can then be sent to me anytime, and I will track them for you. We will take a max of 5 girls and 5 boys for these contests.  There will be some additional costs (greens fees and team polo shirt) associated with this portion of MMS Golf.

All participants must have signed D15 Handbook.  If planning on trying out for IESA Golf, you will have to have a current physical on file.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact Dr. Parzygnat at bparzygnat@d15.org or Ms. LoMonaco at mlomonaco@d15.org leave message with the office at 779-244-1600.

Looking forward to seeing you all soon!
