Mrs. Munn

Mrs. Munn is a Chicago native, graduating from Lane Tecnical High School and recieving her Bachelors in Music Education from North Park University.  Over her 20 year career, she has achieved a Master of Arts in Teaching from Aurora University and became a Nationally Board Certified Educator in 2009.


Mrs. Munn is an active member of ACDA and annually attends ILMEA conferences and professional development sessions.  Always looking for new ideas, she regularly collaborates online, attending webinars on singing techniques, sharing in nationwide choral director groups, and exchanging ideas with other music educators.  Mrs. Munn has also been serving as ILMEA District 7 Junior Chorus Representative-elect since 2017.


Mrs. Munn loves directing choir at McHenry Middle School, where she built a strong program over the last 16 years.  The McHenry Middle School Choirs consistantly achieve superior ratings at Music in the Parks Competition, Illinois Grade School Music Association Competition, and State Contest.  Mrs. Munn also rehearses and coaches her students in preparation for solo ensemble contest, Fox Valley Honor Chorus, ILMEA Choral Festival and VanderCook Middle Level Honors Chorus.  During the summer months, Mrs Munn directs Voice Builders Summer Choir through the Lake in the Hills Park District now entering its 16th year.
