District 15 has adopted Freckle by Renaissance for summer learning opportunities for students to use and access from their home.
Freckle is an online learning platform that allows students to practice Math and English Language Arts at their own level. Freckle continuously adapts to each student’s individual skills, so each student is getting the appropriate challenge, whether they’re working at, above, or below grade level.
Freckle offers over 50,000 math questions covering K-9 standards. Students start off with a diagnostic, and after that, Freckle's algorithms show them problems at their own skill level. Freckle also has over 1,000 nonfiction and fiction passages for students to access. It also includes Science and Social Studies resources to support teaching across the curriculum.
