McHenry School District 15 continues to sponsor the Comcast Internet Essentials Partnership Program
(IEPP). Through this program, any family that qualifies for Comcast’s Internet Essentials can receive high-speed home internet at no cost to them — the District covers the $14.95 monthly fee.Program highlights that may be valuable:
- Speeds up to 75/10 Mbps, suitable for schoolwork, video calls, and streaming.
- Access to 20+ million secure Xfinity WiFi hotspots nationwide.
- Option to purchase a Dell laptop or Chromebook for $149.99 + tax.
- Free digital skills tutorials and resources.

Families that may qualify for Comcast’s Internet Essentials program:- Medicaid – card or most recent eligibility letter
- Public housing assistance – lease, HAP contract, or HUD eligibility letter
- SNAP – Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program approval letter
- TANF – Temporary Assistance for Needy Families eligibility letter
- SSI – Supplemental Security Income eligibility letter
- NSLP/Head Start – participation letter with child’s name, school name, and service address
- LIHEAP – Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program eligibility letter
- WIC – Women, Infants, and Children program eligibility letter
- Federal Pell Grant – documentation from a financial aid office
- VA Pension – Veterans Administration pension eligibility letter
- Tribal Assistance Programs – such as TTANF, FDPIR, etc.
