Parkland School is located on the western edge of McHenry, Illinois and serves sixth, seventh, and eighth grade students in areas of the following communities: McHenry, Bull Valley, McCollum Lake, and Wonder Lake. Parkland is one of two middle schools in the McHenry Community Consolidated District 15 and has an enrollment of over 800 students.

Students who come to Parkland attend elementary school at one of 4 schools in District 15: Duker, Landmark, Riverwood, and Valley View Schools.
