Hello!  My name is Mrs. Hartl and I am the librarian at Parkland.  This is my 12th year at Parkland, and prior to that I taught 6th, 7th and 8th grade language arts in another school district for 5 years.  I have 2 young daughters and they keep me pretty busy!  When I am not chasing them around, I also love to crochet, craft (I make wreaths) and of course READ- I hope that I can help spark your interest in reading as well!  I think my favorite book ever is "Sideways Stories From Wayside School" by Louis Sachar.  I remember being in third grade and volunteering to read chapters of that book to my class!  I am always here to help recommend books and I pride myself on being able to find an interesting book for each and every student!  Don't ever hesitate to reach out if you need assistance with anything!
