Mr. Christian Sommerfeldt
Mr. Sommerfeldt is in his seventh year of teaching and will be teaching Social Studies on the 6th grade Blue team. He graduated with a degree from Illinois State University, majoring in Middle Level Education and has endorsements in Social Studies and Math. He recently obtained his Masters in Curriculum and Instruction from American College of Education. He enjoys sports, both playing and coaching, as well as spending time on his boat.

Mrs. Lisa LeStarge
This is my 24th year teaching here at Parkland. Previously, I taught 6th grade math and science for the majority of those years. Last year I got to experience teaching 8th grade math. However, this year I am excited to be back in 6th grade as the 6 Blue Math teacher. Aside from teaching, I am also one of the Cheer coaches, Soccer Club supervisors, and Homework Help supervisors here at Parkland. District 15 will continue to utilize the MGH Reveal program as our primary math resource. Both the Integrated Math and Pre-aglebra classes utilize the same curriculum in 6th grade, but may move at a slightly different pace. Mrs. Elizabeth Wepprecht
Mrs Wepprecht is in her twelfth year of teaching, and her eighth year at Parkland School. She teaches English Language Arts on the 6 Blue Team. She received her Bachelor's Degree in Special Education (LBS1) from Northern Illinois University. She recently obtained her Masters in Curriculum and Instruction from Concordia University, with an endorsement in ESL, and an endorsement in ELA grades 5-8. She enjoys spending time with her family, being outdoors, and traveling. She loves watching cooking shows and trying new recipes.

Mrs. Courtney Kinert
Welcome to the 6 Blue Team! This will be my 18th year at Parkland and my 23rd year teaching. I graduated with my Bachelor's from Northern Illinois University in 2002 and received my Master's degree from St. Xavier University in 2011. This year I will be teaching the direct instruction Math and Language Arts classes as well as providing resource support for the team. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with friends and family and our cat. I'm looking forward to a great year!

Mr. Ian Anderson
Mr. Anderson is the Science Teacher for the 6 Blue Team. He taught nine years at Parkland as a Special Education Resource Teacher. This is his fifth year as the 6 Blue Science teacher. He received his Bachelor's Degree in Science Education from the University of Wisconsin - Stevens Point. He also has his Masters in Curriculum and Instruction from Olivet Nazarene University. He enjoys spending time with his family, hunting, and fishing.
