FETC STEM Excellence Winner!

We are excited to announce that Parkland School was named the number one middle school in the nation for STEM, STEAM, and Innovative Programming at the Future of Education Technology Conference (FETC).  For over forty years, FETC has been regarded as the top technological conference in the United States and gathers some of the most dynamic and innovative leaders and professionals from around the world.  In achieving this award, Parkland was chosen among schools from all across the nation as the top middle school that provided the best programming and learning spaces for its students.  We are extremely proud of Parkland for receiving this award.

We recognize that students will grow up in a world filled with rapid and constant technological advances.  To that end, we have made a conscious decision to emphasize the STEM/STEAM programming, and learning spaces in our school district.  In fact, in addition to Parkland’s win this year, McHenry Middle School achieved second place in this award last year.

We are proud that Parkland has achieved this well-deserved award recognizing their tremendous accomplishment as it highlights the cutting edge spaces and programs that we offer our students.  More importantly, though, it highlights the amazing work done by our students and teachers each and every day that would not be possible without the support of our Board of Education.  Congratulations to Parkland School, its students and staff, and its entire learning community.
